Charters Food Festival: the world of food and drink comes to Peterborough for the bank holiday weekend, including pancakes and paella

Local and national businesses will be participating and showcasing their food, beverages and desserts for your enjoyment throughout the April 30 and May 1 holiday weekend, from noon to 8 p.m.

The festival will take place in the garden and host free entertainment throughout the festival – Saturday will feature Eclectic Ballroom from 2-8pm and Generation 5pan from 10pm, and Sunday it will be Jazz Underground’s turn from 12-3pm and Dan Poole from 3 p.m. -6 p.m.

Participants include:

Azahar’s Spanish Dishes – Paella (only on Saturdays).

Holiday House Kiosk with their amazing Polish sausages.

Michelle’s delicious dishes showcasing foods from around the world, spanning Caribbean, South African and Mexican cuisines with plenty of vegan options.

Pierogarnia will feature Ukrainian and Polish cuisine, including Golabki (cabbage rolls) or Barszcz (Ukrainian beetroot soup).

The Fenland Roaster – Traditional BBQ and pulled pork wraps (only on Sundays).

The Pancake Shack features sweet and savory pancakes with gluten-free and egg-free options available.

Balkan food truck features Bulgarian cuisine, including pork specialties and salads.

El Ajolote Mexican cuisine with tacos, including vegan options (only on Saturdays).

Kitchen Remstone will feature West African dishes.

Bhushan Biryani with authentic Indian dishes (only on Saturdays).

And the sweet stalls: Samantha’s Cakes & Bakes, Gabby’s Cakes, Gluttony Fudge, The Sweet Talker and Ayaan ice cream with ice cream, waffles and slush puppies.

And Iceni Meadery will present their incredible mead (just Saturday), as well as Bowlers Brewery, Nene Valley Spirits and others featuring unique drink options.
