Ultra-luxury ship makes maiden port call in northern British Columbia – Victoria News

Cruise season is heating up at Northland Terminal, with passengers from three different ships disembarking to visit Prince Rupert in a week.

Money Muse, part of Silversea Luxury Cruises, made its inaugural visit to Prince Rupert on Tuesday, June 4. The ultra-luxury vessel is Silversea’s latest addition to its fleet and can accommodate just under 600 guests. the silver muse due to return to Northland Terminal on June 14 and 25.

The last time a Silversea ship anchored in Prince Rupert was in 2015.

Money Muse is one of the few ultra-luxury ships to visit the city this season. The other ultra-luxury ship, the Seabourn Staywith 450 guests, sailed into port on Wednesday June 5th. Passengers walking the streets of Cow Bay said the weather was the best they had experienced on the 22-day trip, including a visit to Japan and Russia.

The Sunday of the feast of the sea, the Oceania Regatta MS is ready to sail into port for the day. Most Seafest activities on June 9 take place along the waterfront, providing additional entertainment for the approximately 680 guests spending the day on the North Shore.

This cruise season will see 22 ships calling at Northland Terminal and around 11,138 passengers in 2019.
